Your Winter Home Spa

A home spa, especially during the winter  is a great way to enjoy staying home and it's an inspiration to take better care of yourself when the cold is limiting your movement. Setting up your home spa begins with getting in touch with your pleasure principles, what makes you feel good, beautiful fragrances, soothing touch, stimulating sounds, the feel of warm water or just those moments of silence in a plush atmosphere. Discover moments of relaxation and develop a commitment to loving yourself for good health and peace.

Speaking of atmosphere, let's create one that can fully manifest your choice of pamper pleasures. Choose your room or rooms and clear the clutter. The bedroom can you be your sanctuary for touch therapy and quiet contemplation time. The bathroom (new name - Hydrotherapy Oasis ;-), is where you have that instant whirlpool that fits right in your tub! Decorate and dazzle yourself! Coordinate with those colors that give you that sense of peace and calm. No need to paint choose simple cloths to hang and drape. If you're into aroma therapy, the best investment will be an essential oil diffuser. Naturally speaking it is water based, using  plant based essential oils and produces fragrances that last for hours.

Since we are natural beings, our experience in pampering ourselves should be natural as well. Whatever your focus for pampering whether it is hair, face, nails, hands, feet, skin, hydration, relaxation or rejuvenation using natural products such as clay, mud, water, salts, crystals, resins, castille soap, shea butter, coconut and other plant based oils will completely nurture the body. The natural rule of thumb is, "If you can't eat it, you shouldn't put it on your skin."

Your fun and relaxing spa focus areas include hydrating the body for added moisture, cleansing dead skin with exfoliation, stimulating endorphins by taking the time for healing touch, although not emphasized in the traditional spas, your internal beauty determines what you see on the outside, therefore prepare nourishing meals that make you feel great about eating healthy, and repairing areas of the body that have been neglected by your busy lifestyle.

Just a few hints on some home spa techniques and equipment that can make your home spa a lasting feature all year round. Experiment and explore with plush pillows, non-shedding towels, ornaments for beauty enhancements, personal steamer, skin brush, feathers, feet and hand soak tubs, q tips, mani/pedi kits, reflexology floor mat and manual massage tools.

Lastly, one of the best things about having a winter home spa is that you can share the experience with others by scheduling an intimate spa party for your girlfriends, a night of pampering for you and your special someone, or just scheduling two days a week where you have a personal learning to love yourself party!

Reiki: A Timeless Topic that Speaks to Eternity

I don't think that enough can be said about Reiki until every family that is interested in being healthy has a reiki healer in the home. The benefits of Reiki are so numerous that it should be one of the first therapies for any ailment. Reiki is a subtle vibration healing therapy that gently promotes balance in body, mind, and spirit.  Reiki restores synergy and relieves stress of every type. Most people at some point in their day to day busyness need the beauty of silence; a Reiki session will calm the mind, expand inner awareness, enhance transformation, and promote positive growth. It harmonizes and optimizes the body/mind processes by unlocking creativity, accelerating spiritual growth, and it encourages positive change in life.

Over time Reiki can enhance stamina, intuition, meditation, and spiritual evolution. This is not a guarantee that someone will be relieved of any ailment with a single or multiple Reiki sessions, it does however help all medical treatment. The underlying principle of Reiki is that it can do no harm and cannot be used for any harmful purpose.

Those who have given their Reiki testimonies have said that it is one of the most relaxing therapies, they sometimes time travel during Reiki, they have visions that help solve current problems in life and Reiki has given them a natural energy boost that makes them see clearer, think clearer and breathe more freely. Reiki is sometimes combined with both Chakra Therapy and Crystal Therapy for an even greater spiritual, mental and emotional balance.

The Toxic Realm of Pharmacology

The Toxic Realm of Pharmacology

It has become the norm in modern society to visit the local pharmacy for an over the counter (OTC) medication or your doctor for a prescription to relieve a symptom that has manifested itself in your body and is taking your attention from the norm of life.  However, the invisible aspect of this day to day chemical medicine ritual is hardly ever a second or third thought as we experience the “cover-up” of pain, swelling, lowered blood pressure, acceptable sugar levels, infertility (contraceptives), nasal decongestant, fever and the numerous other physical annoyances that distract us from our busy lives. Plop, fizz, swallow…what a “relief”!

Let’s for a moment take that look inside of the pharmacology of this temporary relief one experiences from the medications we so faithfully rely on. Pharmacology is the study of interactions of chemical agents with the biochemical functions of the body. It is the Greek term for poison. Every OTC and prescription drug works in the body to change an unnatural or natural pattern of function. People use pharmaceuticals for five main reasons: 1) to mask the symptoms of disease until the body heals itself, ie. Anti-inflammatory drugs, antacids, antipyretics 2) to replace a permanent malfunction in the body, ie, thyroid meds, diabetes meds 3) to alter a normal body function to accommodate lifestyle, ie. Contraceptives, cholesterol meds, 4) to eliminate foreign agents or congestion from the body that disrupt the norm body function, ie. Antibiotics, laxatives and 5) to alter the central nervous system when the mind body experiences an imbalance, ie. Antidepressants, ADHD medications . It sounds wonderful that meds can do all this? This is all good, right? Well…

There are a few things about medications that doctors and OTC instructions don’t normally reveal to consumers and that is the possibility of chemical overload in the body system if pharmaceuticals are ingested for even short periods of time. The body is design to process a certain amount of natural chemicals that are usually found if the foods we eat, otherwise known as acid foods. The cleansing organs of the body, the liver, gall bladder, intestines and the skin work daily to regulate the influx of these ideally naturally occurring chemicals and it operates just fine. The issue comes in when we take in extremely high levels of synthetic chemicals through all manners of pollution, detergents, chemical based perfumes, colognes and lotions, pesticides laced foods, processed foods and pharmaceuticals. The result of this excessive ingestion is a chemical overload in the body where we find ourselves living in a toxic state of existence which causes states of addiction, organ degeneration, premature aging and deceased longevity in life.

Why don’t the average healthcare providers disclose this type of information while they are sitting on the other side of the desk writing the prescription? Unfortunately, many are not trained in the adverse reactions of the thousands of medications outside of the known side effects.  And one must acquaint yourself with the fact the pharmaceuticals is very big business and has economic links to all parts of the world…there are certain things the consumer just doesn’t need to know.

How do you determine your personal level of toxicity, whether it be from the day to day living in an industrial environment of the city or due to the different types of medications you are taking to normalize your lifestyle or keep yourself alive? In the world of natural health where it is customary to practice preventative health and healing without excessive toxin intake, a Naturopath (a Healthcare provider that assist clients in healing through nutritional and alternative modalities), has the means of checking the levels of toxicity through pH testing, iridology, urine analysis and lifestyle assessments. Depending on the level of toxicity a personal detox regimen is formulated to provide maximum relief for the internal organs to restore natural body function and reverse the degeneration process to live healthier and longer in good health.  If pharmaceuticals are a major part of your life, a naturopath can recommend to you a pharmaceutical detox to balance the intake of drugs so that the body works with your allopathic prescription and alleviates some the organ stress and chemical overload.  A detox regimen consist of cleansing the organs, supplying adequate levels of pH balanced foods, herbal therapy, hydrotherapy and touch therapy.

Everyone deserves a life that is not dictated by how often you have to take a pill. We were created with body systems that should work in harmony with the natural rhythms of the earth where the season of life is filled with the enjoyment of health, love and fulfillment according to one’s purpose.  However, we often relinquish that balance in the name of progress and we find ourselves on autopilot in a world against nature. The wise ones remember the way and the fools ignore it and relish in their suffering.

Past Life Regression: Knowing When to Heal

Are you living with unexplained fears, anger, blame, shame or any other excessive emotion that prevents you from completely loving yourself and others without condition? Many people exist in this life time with repressed emotions and “funny ways” that not only stem from the early childhood but may even be unresolved issues from previous life times. Yes, the coming forth from other dimensions of time is a theory of reincarnation, where one accepts that the soul’s energy is extended beyond death of the physical body and is recycled into a new body to be allowed the opportunity to continue living and learning life’s lessons according to the purpose of the particular soul. Past Life Regression supports this concept of inter-dimensional connection. Past Life Regression is a hypnotherapy tool to assist with understanding and healing current symptoms of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues.

Hypnosis is a therapy that is used to activate the subconscious mind. Every bit of information that a person has ever experienced is stored in the brain and a healthy person has the power to activate cellular memory and recall any detail. The subconscious mind has no boundaries when it comes to logic, space and time. Many people may have fears or may be ignorant of Hypnotic Regression Therapy however it is a an extremely useful tool to remove depression, fear, unwarranted blocks to accepting love into your life and the negative attitudes towards living that people live with daily.

A word of caution, Past Life Regression should never be the first form of hypnosis that is done. If you seek this form of healing it will be recommended that you go through a series of basic hypnosis sessions to determine if Past Life Regression and hypnosis itself is right for you. Only a certified and practiced hypnotist should perform Past Life Regression Therapy and it is only used if it is requested by the client. This type of therapy opens deep levels of the mind where communication takes place of an emotional, spiritual and mental level.

The soul can come back through a few different channels.

v  Free will is the ability to choose your own path of existence.
v  Transmigration is the soul’s ability to come back in plant, animal or mineral form.
v  Reincarnation through the same bloodline is a part of many indigenous community’s knowledge base.
v  Reincarnation because of karma is expressive of the law of cause and effect that affords the soul a certain learning experience in the new life time. Karma is not a system of punishment.

During a past life regression session, the therapists creates an ambiance with dim lights, a nice comfortable chair or sofa, a warm blanket and sometimes candles. Aromatherapy is not used because scents that are familiar to the client may block them from obtaining connection with the deeper levels of their subconscious. The session is recorded for later references for the therapists and the clients.

Past Life Regression is a very beneficial tool for those who are emotionally addicted and need help with moving stagnant energy in their lives.

Yoga Therapy: A True System of Healing

"In Holistic Health the goal is to bring balance to every aspect that is unique to the human experience. It involves balancing the mind to fully live in the present, with knowledge from the past and vision for the future. Holistic Health perfects the use of the emotions solely as a growth process with each emotion that is felt. It also aligns the physical body with nature to maintain youth and longevity to fulfill purpose. Lastly, Holistic Health teaches that everything is of the spiritual realm and the mastering of this aspect of life is the goal of the manifestation of divine energy. "
                                                                    -Dr, Akua Gray, ND

Yoga Therapy is a collaborative form of holistic healing. Yoga Therapy brings focus to every aspect of a person’s life, because complete healing needs to be full circle. The components Yoga Therapy is recommended based the individual needs of the client.

There are also various areas of wellness that must be adhered to for the benefits of Yoga Therapy to be complete. The first of these is purification which is a consistent regimen of cleansing the body of impurities. Impurities are the visible and invisible obstacles to wholeness and energy debris that are present in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual realms of every person. Purification of the body inside and out starts with cleansing of the body with the breath, mind control and concentration.

Next is maintaining a healthy eating lifestyle. The ideal diet for humans is plant based and 70% liquid. Yes, since we are 70% water, to align ourselves with nature the ideal intake for humans should be mostly liquid based foods and there are all plants by nature's design.

The discipline of yoga postures are a large part of Yoga Therapy. The Yoga Therapist, after a thorough full body, mind, emotional and spiritual assessment will formulate a Lifestyle Platform to facilitate the building of harmony living for the client. This platform for living is extensive and is designed to be a system of longevity that a client can use throughout life consistently or whenever there is a need to restore balance in life. The Lifestyle Platform includes various types of yoga and their therapeutic uses. These healing postures are formulated in a Personal Training Table that begins with a minimum of 6 months of self service and Vitality Increase Focus.

What is yoga without meditation? It is an incomplete system of healing, therefore Yoga Therapy also balances the body temple with Meditation Therapy which includes advanced breath work,  creative visualization and Nerve Center Focus to move easily towards Transcendence.

Yoga Therapy in its complete form is only offered in India, Arizona, Florida New York, and Texas among the forerunners in this healing design of the most dynamic compilation of self care techniques available.

Nurturing the Mind Through Meditation

Taking a moment in time from being on the edge of your thought processes is something that many people rarely do. Thinking about the physical world is a given, however the over consumption of thoughts leaves the rest of the body with little time to rest and enjoy purpose living. In mastering good health, meditation is an essential part of the formula. It is time taken to withdraw from the addictions of thinking too much and allowing the mind to rest. The mind, which for many NU THOT© agents is considered the body of man. This is viable because of the neurological melanin components that protect and serve throughout the divine temple. In other words, "you are what you think you are". There are numerous levels of meditative trance that can be useful for the individual depending on where they find themselves in their spiritual development.

The most basic of trance states is that which relates to the most animal part of man and that is induced by emotions. There's no need to actively try to get into it, it comes naturally. Take notice the next time you have a strong emotional response and the amount of time you spend locked into what just happened while being totally unaware of what is going on around you. Ideally this natural state of trance only last seconds, however in the immature mind this state can last years, especially in adults. However, to receive the full benefits of this state of trance the focus should not be on the emotions, but what is the lessons that is needed for your life based on this outer body stimulus interaction. I know this is a difficult way to think, but NU THOT© is necessary for growth.

The levels of meditation that are in between are those taught in yoga, religion, and through basic meditation principle practices. They are available on a wide scale everywhere. This level is where one learns to calm down, breathe and develop the art of seeking higher realms of consciousness. I don't think it is necessary to elaborate on the these. If interested, it is recommended that you look into what is available in your area. These are great places to start the journey for growth.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is what is referred to as deep trance meditation. It a place in the space of timelessness, thoughtlessness and just being. This level of energetic existence and understanding is rarely reached by even the best students of meditation because as physical manifestations of the divine energy we have been propelled out of that realm of reality to have a full physical experience. Ideally the only reason we are to enter into that energetic realm is to reboot and bring clarity to our earthly purpose. This level of wisdom access is an eternal peace portal. It is a way of living beyond all norms in spiritual self mastery.

Divine Feminine Ascension

There is a resurgence of a very powerful divine feminine energy. Over the past five years, a legion of ancient ancestors and spiritual entities have reemerged in the African Diaspora with a certain set of skills that are capable of easily altering the fate of man kind. Those who are birthing baby girls right now are given the following instructions:

1. Teach her to live the meaning of her name.
2. Allow her to follow her natural instincts and intuitions, don't force man's customs and restrictions on her. She will naturally accept what she needs for this journey.
3. Protect her body and mind with proper nourishment. She is 70% water. She will naturally want to drink more than she eats. Do not defile her body with unnatural processed foods.
4. She will mature a lot faster in every way. Allow her to express herself, explore life and walk with her as a guide and protector.
5. Teach her about the ancients and help her to re-member the times she has come from.
5. Teach her at least two languages before she is 5 years old. They are world travelers.

These souls are walking with much power. Their natural alignment with universal energy will manifest as greatness as they cross each others paths and do their purpose work together.

...and so spirit says
